About the Role

Position Summary

Solero Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support a large, professional organization. The Cloud Engineer will design, build, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and services.

This position will collaborate closely with infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, networking, and application development teams to implement cloud solutions aligned with organizational objectives, governance requirements, and security standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure and platform services.
Provision cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and system provisioning.
Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
Implement cloud security controls, Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and compliance best practices.
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with DevOps, application development, networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and compute issues.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability solutions.
Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Support CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
Ensure compliance with applicable organizational governance, accessibility, cybersecurity, security, and operational standards.
Prepare technical reports and recommendations for leadership.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience designing and supporting enterprise cloud environments.

Experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, or equivalent.

Knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, identity management, and cloud security.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


Five (5) or more years of cloud engineering experience.

Experience supporting large organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, or other public-sector environments.

Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, AWS SysOps, or equivalent certification.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and hybrid cloud environments.
